You should be able to download and play the Golan Heights 2016 scenario with AI from the download link below.  Only the Syrian AI works at the moment, the Israeli groups have not yet been created.

Attached version adds additional condition for transitioning out of opening.  Here are the current conditions:

Defeat due to casualties -- transition to defeat ( retreat) if AI options casualty threshold reached.
Battle map traffic ability -- if less than 50%, goes straight to endgame.
Probability of skipping -- if randomly chosen, transition will be to middle game
Minimum time to complete endgame reached -- transition immediately to endgame
Casualties 5% -- transition to middle game
One-third scenario time elapsed -- automatically transition to middle game

Finally:
all combat groups deployed to opening positions -- transition to middle game

So once they stop moving, you should see the immediate transition to middle game.  Also all the above conditions can  cause the transition.
Sometimes in middle game, it may automatically transitioned to endgame due to random probability.

Also we will work on artillery next, to get some better targeting coordinates.

Hm, I really feel the Opening Game is generally too long. I almost always have to trigger it manually because the AI will just sit there waiting for nothing apparent. I'm sure it would have launched the middle game eventually, but I feel it waits so long in the setup phase that it runs out of time in the end game if it meets resistance. Also, I feel it should maybe more agressively pursue the objectives, at least in the end game. Or then we need a surrender mechanic.

Also, if I manually trigger 'Middle Game' in the AI window, already twice now it triggered 'End Game'. I thought it was a statistical fluke but it might be a bug.


I did a deep offensive recon and watched as the AI came back to assist its rearguard units fend off my attack, so that works! Very cool!

WHOA ! For me, this new version is a big step forward , everything is more "solid" , for now I see only two small problems , the artillery too " slow " that strike the vanguard forces, and some slowdown in the 3d window when the map is updated, all fixable!  :)

Great update, worked fine and the sliders are a great addition. At 50% agression it tends to get a little slow around the middle game. :)

It seems the AI still likes to drop arty on it's own forward positions. I can't figure out why. Could it be it's sometimes firing on a 'move' coordinate?

I just had a very fun playthrough as I tried to put up more of a fight (I'll move these to the screenshots section tomorrow, it's just to illustrate):

We should have instructions/video on how to make a regular scenario into an AI scenario soon.  Really all you have to do is create the groups you want to use.

Hmmm, it may be a good idea to have the AI randomly choose between all available group files it finds in the directory.

Can you please test attached versions?  This version offers some small improvements:

on AI options window there is a button to pause AI
when the Station is AI control, you will see small "AI" badge on the tray icon.  This can help you tell which station is under AI control.
In the station, on 3-D graphics window, slider in upper left will disappear if you do.hover over it for five seconds.
Sometimes it was staying visible when it should be disappearing.

Next up:
--More aggressive unit groups

BTW--you can now set aggressiveness in AI options window--there is a slider

the most amazing thing is that this AI uses its own Station program like a real person, very good for analyzing tactics, and with endless future possibilities!
